In Northern India, Gills Mix Concrete’s contribution has helped with the production of 2 turbines placed in the Allain Nala river.
Each turbine produces 2.4MW of energy through the turbine rotation which generates 20,967MWh of electricity every year. This project helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions that are usually produced by burning fossil fuels and each year, 17,614 tCO2e is prevented from being emitted due to the use of the hydropower plant! In addition, this project has brought jobs into the local area employing 13 local people.
