Ready Mix Concrete Delivered in Wolverhampton

Gills Mix are proud to supply high-quality, BSI certified ready mix concrete and screed for commercial and domestic clients in the West Midlands. Established in 2011, we’re the number one local concrete supplier in Wolverhampton, Birmingham and the surrounding areas.

Customer satisfaction is our top priority. We offer a range of services to suit your needs, from out-of-hours and same day deliveries to specialist concrete pumping services. We’ve put together this blog to help you understand the various factors that may affect the price of concrete that you order with us.

How to calculate concrete prices

Gill’s Mix charges concrete per cubic metre – and you’ll only ever pay for the concrete you actually use. To estimate the price of your concrete, measure the cavity that needs to be filled with concrete (the length, width and depth) and use our concrete calculator to find out the m³ required. There’s no need to be exact because we can pour on-demand and will ensure you only pay for the amount you actually take on the day.

We use a fleet of state-of-the-art volumetric mixers to produce our high-quality concrete. Although we estimate the amount that you’ll need in advance, when it comes to actually mixing the concrete, our innovative mixers make the magic happen directly on site to your exact specifications. This accurate and efficient way of working means you never have to worry about over-ordering or under-ordering ever again. Zero wastage = cost effective concrete.

What’s the cost of ready mix concrete?

Concrete prices vary widely based on a number of factors. These include the quality of the concrete, additives and reinforcement, preparation and finishing, along with delivery details such as how far away the site is, whether a concrete pump is required and how far the concrete has to be pumped. Our expert team is on hand to provide a free quote and answer any questions that you may have.

Factors that affect concrete cost

a) Distance from our yard to your site

We deliver high quality ready mix concrete to Wolverhampton, Birmingham and the West Midlands. If your job is within our normal coverage area we don’t charge extra for delivery. If you require us to travel further, we will add a small delivery charge to your quote. Speak to our friendly team to get a free quote for delivery to your site.

b) Time spent at site

We understand that time is money, so we aim to be as efficient as possible during delivery. Our experienced team will work closely with your chosen contact to avoid delays and anticipate any challenges that we may encounter on site. At Gill’s Mix we understand that clear communication and preparation is key to ensuring that the delivery and pour is as smooth as our concrete!

c) Mix Design

The stronger your concrete, the more cementitious and complex the mix design is. A higher strength mix design, or the addition of admixtures or additives, will be reflected in the total price. Our friendly team can talk you through the best option for your project and explain how this will affect the cost.

d) Amount of Ready Mix Concrete Delivered

Naturally, the more concrete you need poured, the higher the cost will be. We can supply ready mix concrete for any size job in Wolverhampton and Birmingham. For larger pours, we can ensure that multiple trucks are available to deliver concrete ‘on turnaround’ 24/7. We are more than happy to deliver ready mix concrete for very small loads too. Our minimum delivery amount is 0.5m³ of concrete, but please note we have to charge a minimum cost equivalent to 1m³.
